Description
“Alameda” is the Spanish word for tree-lined avenue, often in public parks, where people of all generations meet, go for a walk, relax in the shade of the trees, read, watch the people passing by, play music, dance, flirt and share life in general.
I have been inspired to this original composition by numerous trips to Spain and wanted to write something relaxed, rhythmic and groovy with a fun factor.
“Alameda” fits well into a cocktail or (student) concert repertoire and also sounds great with percussion or drums alongside.
The piece was written for a project of the wonderful YouTube channel “Talking Harps” where Victoria Johnson and her team connect harpists around the globe.
